2009 Pikes The EWP Shiraz

Totally opaque inky black crimson colour with very deep dark crimson purple hue. The nose displays lifted scents of liquorice and blackberry with an overlay of toasty oak and some spice end notes. Voluptuous palate boasting superb concentration and richness. Velvety mouthfeel with flavours of ripe blackberry, dark plum and liquorice followed by toasty oak and spice. Very powerful and persistent with long aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice, vanillin confectionary, toasty oak and spice.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
