Glhwein became popular in Germany in the early 15th century. Most recipes are similar – take a red base wine add in spices from the Christmas season (cinnamon clove vanilla star anise) and sweeten with a bit of sugar. Antoniusberg is one of the best and will make even the coldest Christmas night merry and bright!
