Caol Ila 11 Years 2024 Special Release Scotch Whisky 750ml
The Caol Ila 11 Year Old Single Malt Scotch from the 2024 Special Releases is a striking departure from the distillery’s signature smoky style, offering a rare glimpse into the unpeated side of this renowned Islay producer. Aged in a combination of refill, rejuvenated, and ex-wine American and European oak casks, this whisky explores the lighter, fruitier spectrum of Caol Ila’s character while retaining the distillery’s hallmark elegance. With a creamy, nutty mouthfeel developed through short fermentation, cloudy worts, and part-filled stills, the whisky exudes bright notes of green apple and gentle spices, making it a compelling and unexpected expression of Islay craftsmanship.
