Dewar’s Double Double 21 Year Old Magma Stone Toasted Scotch Whisky is the limited edition that pushes blended Scotch into uncharted territory: a 21-year-old blend from Master Blender Stephanie Macleod, finished in virgin French oak casks toasted not by flame but by pre-heated Icelandic magma stones — bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV), non-chill filtered with no added coloring, in this 750mL bottle — and it is available to order online at Del Mesa Liquor, San Diego, CA.

The Double Double line is where Dewar’s shows off its famous four-stage aging process: selected single malts and grain whiskies, each aged individually for 21 years, then blended, aged again separately, then blended together for a third rest — and finally finished in virgin French oak casks stone toasted at Level 1 intensity with heated Icelandic magma stones. No open flame, just controlled radiant heat that gently opens the oak’s pores — the first time any Scotch whisky has been finished this way.

Tasting notes (official): subtle cinnamon and cloves on the nose give way to creamy caramel and baked apples with toasted cereal; wrapped in Dewar’s hallmark smoothness with an elegant oak finish.

Why buy the Magma Stone Toasted? Because it’s a Double Gold winner at the 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and a genuine whisky-making first — a limited release that will only get harder to find. Browse the scotch whisky collection, the Dewar’s brand collection, and more spirits.

Serving note: neat in a Glencairn at room temperature; a few drops of water open the baked-apple and clove notes.
