Donnafugata x Dolce&Gabbana “Cuordilava” Etna Rosso 2019
A tribute to Mount Etna, born from a collaboration between two icons of Made in Italy.
Grape Varietals & Region: A blend of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio, hand-harvested from vineyards on the slopes of Mount Etna, Sicily, grown in mineral-rich volcanic soils unique to the region.
Taste Profile: Intense aromas of red fruits, spices and mineral notes. Elegant and well-structured on the palate, with smooth tannins and a long, persistent finish that captures the essence of Etna’s volcanic terroir.
Winemaking Process: Grapes are carefully fermented and aged in oak barrels to enhance their complexity and depth, drawing out the terroir-driven character of the volcanic soils.
Winemaker: Donnafugata was founded in 1983 by Giacomo Rallo and his wife Gabriella, growing out of the Rallo family’s Sicilian winemaking history dating back to 1851. Today the winery is led by their children, sister and brother Jos and Antonio Rallo, the fifth generation to make wine at the estate. Cuordilava is one of several collaborations between Donnafugata and Dolce&Gabbana, uniting two Italian names bound by a shared love of Sicily.
