FUCHS STEINKLAMMER 2023 WEINER GEMISCHTER SATZ “KLIPPE” DRY WHITE BLEND

CERTIFIED ORGANIC. VEGAN.
Pale yellow-green in the glass, this fresh and invigorating dry white is a blend of Traminer, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Rotgipfler and Zierfandler. The bouquet greets you with stonefruit and sea spray on the nose, followed on the palate with nectarine, kiwi, green apple, garden herbs, lime, and salt. The wine is characterized by the minerals of the rocks found there, such as dolomite limestone and primary rocks. “Klippe” or “Cliff” is a reference to the cliffs and surf of the ancient sea that occupied the site of the vineyards 120 million years ago. This is the perfect wine to enjoy chilled on a hot day.
Gemischter Satz is the wine of Vienna, Austria. Meaning mixed planting or mixed set, Gemischter Satz can contain up to 20 grape varieties, all grown within the city limits. This fascinating, versatile wine naturally lends itself to a dazzling array of iterations, the perfect food accompaniment, or, as in the hands of Stefan and Alexander Fuchs, as a contemplative, aromatic tribute to its unique slice of land.
