Wild Sardinia Mirto is a traditional Sardinian liqueur made from wild myrtle berries harvested on the island of Sardinia. Produced by Silvio Carta, it draws on the island’s longstanding tradition of making mirto by infusing the aromatic berries of the Mediterranean myrtle plant in alcohol.
Deeply colored and intensely aromatic, the liqueur shows dark berry and herbal notes alongside balsamic, earthy, and gently bittersweet flavors characteristic of myrtle. Its balance of fruit, herbs, and subtle bitterness gives it a distinctive profile that falls somewhere between a fruit liqueur and an herbal digestif.
Traditionally served chilled after a meal, Wild Sardinia Mirto can also be enjoyed over ice or incorporated into cocktails as a distinctly Sardinian alternative to other fruit- and herb-based liqueurs.
